Stalag VII A (Moosburg)

In September 1939, the POW camp Stalag VII A was set up in Moosburg. It was intended for 10,000 prisoners, but by the war's end 80,000 Allied soldiers were interned in the main camp and in the work detachments. On April 29, 1945, American troops occupied Moosburg and liberated the prisoners of war.
